The one thing that I have found to be the most discouraging thing about being a fat guy is that it is so hard to find clothes that are inexpensive and has that fashion sense to them. I can’t just go to some of these retail stores and find my size clothing without it costing me an arm and leg. I have been to places like DXL to find clothes, but who can afford $70 for a shirt and $100 for a pair of pants? That is just ridiculous. Then I have gone to Burlington brands and found clothes that weren’t too expensive, but just not my style. I guess that’s the hardest part, is finding out what my style really is. I would say I’m somewhere between Armani and Lee. Now I have been to Belk’s and found clothing for good prices. Who doesn’t like sales where you can buy one pair of pants and get two free, or buy one shirt and get two free? But there again some of the clothes are not my style. It’s a lot easier for a plus size woman to find stylish clothing then it is fat guys, because woman have so many boutiques that they can order from online, Facebook and other social media sites.
My wife has ordered from a few of these boutiques and has gotten some awesome looking stylish clothes. Why can’t we as fat guys have these boutiques as well? Man I would love to have a place to order clothes that are stylish, my size and inexpensive. I have seen places like Stitch Fix or Trunk club but that’s not for me. I can’t see paying monthly for clothes that I’m not wearing all the time. Maybe one of my readers may come up with a boutique or a guy-tique for us fat guys and maybe we can find the clothes that fit our styles and pockets.
