I never thought that I would love sushi as much as I do or even think that Amy would like is as much as she does, but it happened and we both love it. Our favorite place to get sushi is King Kong Sushi at Carolina Forest. There for a while we would go every other weekend to have some, but since I have decided to try my adventure and start my blog, I have cut back on going so much. When we go, we like to try different rolls and see what we like the most. One roll we like is the Tori Maki which is an appetizer roll. This consists of crab meat and cream cheese wrapped in chicken, breaded and deep fried and served with pico de gallo. Outstanding is all I can say. Amy has two rolls that she really likes and they are the crunch roll (shrimp tempura, tempura flakes, spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce), and the crunch crab salad roll (same as the crunch roll other than being topped with spicy mayo crab salad). She doesn’t like to do the seaweed so she chooses the soy paper to wrap her roll in.
They are just awesome. I like these two as well but a couple of my favorites are the hurricane roll ( crab, cream cheese and cucumber, topped with grilled crab and scallops, teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds), the OMG roll (Garlic marinated fried chicken, crab, cucumber and lettuce topped with tempura flakes, spicy mayo, teriyaki and apple chili sauce.) I can't even explain how good these are. The good thing about King Kong Sushi is that they have lunch specials that come with rolls, soup and salad. Instead of having a normal salad, I enjoy eating the Kani salad; which is crab, cucumber, sesame seeds, and scallions served in a ponzu sauce. Fabulous!!!! You can never go wrong when you eat at King Kong Sushi. One other thing that makes it great is the serving staff. If you get a chance to go, see if Brittany or Nicole are working and ask for them. By far the best servers there.
